About Oak Meadows Park

Oak Meadows Park is a new park located in the Sunnyside Heights neighbourhood of South Surrey. The park, acquired by the City during the development of the surrounding neighbourhood, measures an area of 1.7 hectares (4.2 acres) and is a mixture of open meadow, forest and wetland.

In a nod to the rural history of the area, the park’s design evokes the character of hobby farms with the use of rock walls, wood boardwalks and flowering fruit trees. You'll also find a seasonal wetland and old field meadows, which support a variety of native plants and animals.

Planning for Oak Meadows was based around a community engagement process which included a community survey and open house. The plan for the park was approved by Council in July, 2015.
