Join us at Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre, located near the Gateway SkyTrain Station in Whalley.

This multi-generational facility provides 20,000 square feet of recreational space for Surrey residents, and was designed to meet the growing community needs for all ages in our developing City Centre.

Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre is a multi-purpose facility within walking distance to the Gateway SkyTrain Station. It offers free parking, facility rentals, free Wi-Fi, an outdoor basketball court, an outdoor lacrosse and hockey box, as well as UrbanScreen – Canada’s largest, non-commercial screen dedicated to presenting digital artwork.

  • Enjoy savings by purchasing swipe, 1-month or 1-year passes if you plan to participate regularly. Use your recreation pass at any facility for drop-in: swim, skating, fitness, weights, sports and more! Fees are valid from September 1, 2019, to August 31, 2020, and are subject to change without notice. Our 1-month and 1-year passes are valid at all City-operated facilities. All prices include taxes.

  • We have a Youth Lounge with ping pong, X-box, flat screen TV, pool table, and foosball table. We also have an outdoor covered skate park, basketball court and lacrosse/hockey box. Check out our drop in programs for more activities.

    Pre-teen (Grade 5 to 7): Friday and Saturday at 4pm to 6pm
    Youth (Grade 8 to 12): Friday at 6pm to 9pm and Saturday at 6pm to 10pm

    Seniors Services Membership

    Seniors (55+) can pay $25 per year for the Seniors Services Membership, which is valid at all recreation facilities in Surrey.
